Official: Russia to keep global leadership in wheat exports
ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 6 (PRIME) -- Russia will keep global leadership in wheat exports, Deputy Agriculture Minister Sergei Levin said Thursday on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“Of course, we plan to keep (global leadership). Not only this year, but in general. Russia has historically been number one on the global food market in terms of wheat, this is our initial natural advantage,” he said.
Sanctions against Venezuela do not have an impact on Russian agricultural product exports to this country, Levin also said.
